Free Furniture for Everyone? Must Be September in Boston.

The streets were buzzing with activity, the curbs lined with U-Hauls, dumpsters, and students camped out with their belongings. September 1st in Boston’s Allston neighborhood is dubbed as “Allston Christmas”, the lease turn over day when thousands of college students are moving in, moving out, and participating in an exchange of goods on the curbs of city. Allston is a neighbourhood with a particularly high concentration of student housing, and each year, people set out to scavenge for gems among the mountains of discarded items.
